Rare civet albino cat comes to Lucknow zoo   

Lucknow, Aug 31 (ANI): Lucknow zoo authorities have brought a rare variety of civet albino cat, which they have rescued from poachers.
The animal though belonging to the cat family, has a different behavior and thus has been kept in the zoo’’s hospital to study its behaviour.
“It is difficult to find albino variety. When an albino variety of a tiger was found the officials did a selective breeding and built an albino lineage from it. I will also try if I can make a lineage from this animal. It will be a great achievement, if we get rare genes of this animal in some other animal and can breed it together,” said Renu Singh, director of the zoo.
The cat is not yet open for display to the visitors, though the zoo authorities are upbeat about the excitement it will generate among the visitors. (ANI)
